An early maturing, extra tender sweet corn with a high sugar content that gives a deliciously sweet flavour. It has a dwarf habit and improved performance in cold soils. Eat raw or cooked. RHS Award of Garden Merit winner.
Sow 3cm deep singly in 8cm pots of seed compost at 12-16 celsius. Germination takes 10-12 days. Grow on in good light and gradually harden off before planting outside in a sunny sheltered position in May or early June, Grow in blocks rather than rows setting plants 38cm apart each way. Alternatively sow mid to early June outdoors in blocks setting 2-3 seeds in groups placed 38cm apart each way. Cover with jam jars/cloches until the young plants develop. Do not grow near other sweet corn.
