An improved smooth-skinned hybrid, producing long, firm, tapering roots of superb flavour and texture. Bred for resistance to the very latest strains of disease, including canker, and therefore, ideal for organic growing.
Sow thinly into finely raked, warm, moist soil at a depth of 13mm, in rows 30cm apart. Germination takes 10-28 days. Thin seedlings to 15cm between plants. For exhibition purposes sow 3 or 4 seeds in prepared holes previously filled with finely sieved compost. Thin to strongest seedling. Grows best in well cultivated soil has not recently been manured, otherwise forked roots may occur.
