A favourite early cabbage, with pointed heads of excellent flavour. Sow under glass early February, or in succession outdoors March-July. Summer/Autumn maturing.
Sow thinly between March and June into a finely raked seedbed at a depth of 13mm. Germination takes 7-12 days. Transplant with a trowel when large enough to handle, allowing 30cm between plants each way. Alternatively sow January to Feb in a propagator on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at approx 10-15 celsius using good quality compost. Cover with 6mm of sieved compost. Transplant seedlings into 75mm pots, grow on and finally plant outside in well cultivated for early crops.
