Tasty, tapering red peppers up to 20cm (8″) long, which can be harvested either green or red. They have a sweet, crisp, full-bodied flavour that makes them popular among chefs – fresh in salads, fried, stuffed or just grilled on the BBQ. 25 seeds per packet.
Sow in a propagator on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at approx 18-21 celsius using a good quality compost. Cover the seeds with a 6mm sieved compost. Germination takes 10-21 days. Transplant the seedling singly into 75mm pots. Finally transplant into larger pots, grow bags or greenhouse border allowing 50cm between plants. Feed regularly with a proprietary fertiliser. Suppor tplants with canes as fruits develop.
