A traditional round, red, white-bottomed radish. Very tasty and perfect for summer salads.
Sow liberally but not too thickly, into finely raked, warm, moist, weed free soil at a depth of 13mm in rows about 23cm apart. Germination takes 4-7 days. Thin seedlings as necessary. Sow small batches in sucession every fortnight throughout the season. Grows best in well cultivated soil containing plenty of organic matter. Pull before roots get too large otherwise they can be tough and unplatable. Water well in dry weather.
Sowing -> Cropping – 3-6 weeks.
