Suttons Pea Early Onward

A heavy crop of pods in pairs about 10 days earlier than Onward. Very popular. RHS Award of Garden Merit winner. Height 60cm (2′). Early Variety.

Sow thinly direct into soil prepared by digging and raking at a depth of 50mm in flat drills 15cm wide in two rows with seeds approx 5cm apart. Gemrination takes 7-10 days. Allow 60cm between further rows. Support plants with twiggy sticks or pea netting. Grows best in a sunny position in well cultvated soil contianing plenty of well rotted manure or compost.
Sowing -> Cropping – 12-16 weeks.
