Silvermoor Alfa-Grit-Blocks are briquettes made from pure dried, high protein lucerne and insoluble grit, designed to increase poultry welfare and digestion efficiency. The blocks have been designed to enrich hens’ environments and improve hen welfare by stimulating natural activity, easing stress, and lowering the risk of harmful pecking.
Made up of 70% alfalfa and 30% insoluble grit these ingredients are combined and pressed into shape.
- Alfalfa is an excellent source of protein, highly digestible fibre and is rich in Provitamin A carotenoids to enhance yolk colour.
- The insoluble grit dispersed within the block enables normal development of the gizzard, which is crucial for a healthy digestive system.
- Grit can be found naturally in range however issues can arise within houses even where grit is provided on trays as some birds will gorge leaving nothing for others to ingest.

UK mainland orders over £75 ex VAT and weighing under 30kg qualify for free delivery.
Orders for delivery in the Scottish Highlands, Scottish Island, Channel Isles, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man and Scilly Isle over £200 ex VAT and weighing under 30kg qualify for free delivery.
Local Delivery
We offer a local delivery service, using our own fleet of lorries. This is available for delivery locations in Devon, Dorset, Cornwall and Somerset. For select postcodes only: EX, PL, TA, TQ, TR, BS, DT.
Free local delivery for orders over £300 ex VAT.
Click & Collect
Click and collect is available at our store in Holsworthy, Devon from Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:30pm and Saturday 8:30am - 4:00pm.
Returns
Items can be returned to us for a refund or exchange within 28 days of receiving them, if they are unsuitable or no longer required. Simply let us know that you would like to return the goods within 14 days of delivery. You then have up to 14 days to return the product to us.
